  • PSAT test prep
    • Sign up for ASCEND Academy’s free Pilot PSAT 8/9 Program in partnership with Jersey City Free Public Library.  This initiative is designed to help younger and underrepresented students strengthen their skills in PSAT 8/9 Math and English, as well as explore introductory coding and app/web development.
    • Prep pack, practice tests, vocabulary flash cards through JobNow’s SkillSurfer (requires a Jersey City Public Library Card).
    • Online test prep and downloadable study guide from Gale/Peterson’s Test & Career Prep (requires a Jersey City Public Library Card and creation of login/password for Gale/Peterson’s Test Prep).

    • Audio production studio at the Communipaw Branch.
    • Learn coding in Scratch, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and SQL with Fiero Code.
    • Language learning through Rosetta Stone.
    • Google Career Certificates in Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing & E-commerce, IT Support, Project Management, UX Design, and IT Automation with Python. Multiple languages available.
    • Software skills-building through Udemy–learn the software that CTE programs use!

  • Equipment checkout
    • Technology kits including: Laptop Bag, Chromebook with Built in LTE, Charger, and Quick Start Guide.
    • Mobile Internet Hotspots–call your branch to check availability and reserve.
