Now it’s time to apply for high school. For those of you who did not grow up in Jersey City–or who went to high school in another country: it’s very different in Jersey City. Five different school systems–and the applications are all different! Deadlines, one right after another! So many programs–and no high school offers them all!
The most important thing my family learned when going through the high school applications process is that it’s a long game. The choices your family makes for high school will significantly affect options for college.
